BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA
Poster Design

Here are some poster design concept ideas I did for the Boy Scouts of America. Being a Boy Scout myself in my youth, this was an honor and privilege to work on. The idea for the project was to develop a poster with the historical “Scouts Oath" but made for the modern scouts of today.

Since the Boy Scouts were established in 1910, I wanted to keep the heritage of the time period with the typography, but add a modern polish to it. In the background, we used a great image of the "Tooth of Time" mountain range. The "Tooth of Time” is considered to be the official icon of the Philmont Scout Ranch National High Adventure Base of the Boy Scouts of America.

It was a great project and I got to work with a great buddy and creative talent: Captain Doug Stryker at the helm!

CREATIVE DIRECTOR: Doug Stryker - Pearson

Here is another version that we were working with, inspired by the outdoor activist of the Scouts.  We focused on a water canoeing scene. The illustration style is referenced from Tom Haugomat, a fantastic illustrator, and it would have been great to work with him on it. Maybe next time!! Check out his work on Behance! https://www.behance.net/tomhaugomat
Thanks for your time and interest in my work. Cheers!
