Community Artists' Studio
Project completed during my semester abroad in London that focused on the repurposing of an abandoned railway arch in the city. My design centers on nurturing the evolving talents of designers and artists in the area of Southwark and the South Bank. The area is very artistic and there are many venues catering to this demographic. By creating a studio and gallery space to practice and showcase art and design, I feel the area can thrive creatively and connect as a community.

The Southbank District has undergone an enormous regeneration recently and has become increasingly fashionable and vibrant.  Southbank is an eclectic area that is the cultural heart of the city and home to London’s most iconic attractions, theaters, arts, and design-led venues. The area is buzzing with things to see and do all year round; free events, music, film, exhibitions, dance, theater, and more.  This artistic area fits perfectly for a venue that caters to the neighborhood’s up and coming artists and designers.
