This brief expected us to create a communication piece about our abilities as a graphic designer without making obvious references to what our skills as a designer are. I focused on a side of my personality which could be considered an ‘old soul’. The term ‘old soul’ refers to a person whose words and actions mimic that of a someone from a previous generation. As an individual, I find myself feeling a lot more mature than my generation. As a designer, I tend to draw my inspiration from various time periods, as well as contemporary art and current designers. I enjoy experimenting with collage and a variety of illustration and typography styles. I like to feed my soul, in a generation where most feel the need to feed their ego’s.
