Character Design
Para este projeto eu decidi criar um conjunto de personagens com o objetivo de mistura de duas culturas distintas. Em todas elas eu uso a cultura portuguesa, sendo que as outras culturas vão desde o chinês, o japonês e o Inglês. A premissa original da obra era apenas de fazer as dualidades da cultura, mas como o tempo foi passando eu lembrei um dos meus filmes favoritos, Rashomon de Akira Kurosawa. O tema do filme era universal no qual os maiores mistérios residem na alma humana, o que é real eo que não é, o que se mostra ou o que não se mostra. Rashomon em português significa no Às Portas do Inferno, e eu queria transmitir a sensação de mal e do engano. Eu usei a caneta para os desenhos originais sendo que depois usei algumas dessas obras e trabalhei-as em digital, usando o efeito de alto contraste, onde eu coloquei dois pontos de luz.

For this project i decided to create a set of characters with the objective of mixing two distinct cultures. In all of them i use the portuguese culture and some of the other cultures go from the chinese, the japanese and the english. The original premise of the work was only of making the dualities of culture, but as time went i remembered one of my favourite movies, Rashomon from Akira Kurosawa. The theme of the movie was universal in whom the biggest mysteries reside in the human soul, what is real and what it's not, what we show or what we don't show.Rashomon in english means At the Hell's Gate, and i really wanted to transmite the sense of evil and mislead. I used the pen for the original designs and after that i used some of these works and worked them in digital, using the effect of high contrast where i put two light spots.
