LOS TRAMANTES
“Los Tramantes” is an expo directed by artist Cecilia Martínez Lusarreta, taking place at the Sor Juana Cloister, in México City. The work presented was made by different artists and artisans in a period of five years.
From string theory to the net of networks, from a knot to a billiard cloth, from a taffeta to a jacquard, from miniature to a textile wall, from two-dimensional to three-dimensional.
Cecilia Martínez Lusarreta’s fascination lies within her vision on textile as a primitive structure that can be made, read, represented, felt, dreamed and, of course, woven into: a basket, a house, a dress, shelter, and into a process of existence and being.
Along with the development of the branding of Tramantes, and the vision of the artist, a visual communication for the expo was generated, the video production and photography.
