The Georgia Tech Interactive table was a collaboration between Digital Media, Architecture and Industrial design. The project goal was to create a social environment through physical and digital design. The ubiquitous table was used as a symbol of social interaction and was the basis for this project. This multidisciplinary class was asked to design the platform, environment, and software for the idea of a interactive and social table.
We were to design the table around the movie Fast Cheap and Out of Control.

The technology for the table was already built and tested. It was the responsibility of the Arch/ID team to create a skin and environment for the current table.
Construction took place at the Georgia Tech Advanced Wood Products Laboratory. All parts were computer drawn and cut on the CNC machine by the students.
Final table and environment displayed at Eyedrum in Atlanta, Georgia.
