Shepard Fairey Unwrapped

Wrapped Boxes
For this project, I researched Shepard Fairey and his design style and I created a wrapping paper for the 4th of July season symbolizing patriotism. I incorporated his famous "OBEY" giant design into all my designs and the colors blue, red, and yellow from his famous "Obama HOPE" poster.

The troubles that I ran into when making this poster was making sure that the patterns weren't too big for the box I was wrapping. As a whole, the design looks cool but when it was time to wrap, I felt that the designs need to be a little smaller to be able to give it the same effect as if it was being looked at as a whole.
This is a mandala-based design. I incorporated the OBEY giant as the center piece because that is the focus of all Shepard Fairey's work.
This wrapping paper is still using the OBEY giant but I was thinking of Captain America with the circles.
This design is simple, yet it is very visually appealing. I used the radiating lines that Shepard Fairey uses in various of his works. I kept the colors consistent with the other two designs, still patriotic.
Inspiration
The colors that inspired my designs were the ones from this poster. Shepard Fairey designed this poster for the Obama campaign and is very known for its great design and also because the controversy it caused with copyright.
These are some of Shepard Fairey's work that inspired my designs: the radiating lines, OBEY giant, mandalas, stars, and lines.
Individual Designs
This pattern was created with the mandalas.
This patter was created using Captain America elements but when looking at the image as a whole, it resembles the aftermath of fireworks and that was my goal.
This design is incorporating the radiating lines. I was trying to achieve a "firework" look.
