Reflection
The workshop with Earl Cabuhat was very enlightening and very informative. Earl is the  Senior Designer for CBC news and has worked with them for multiple years. He gave us a lot to think about in terms of our careers and what we should pursue in the future. Also, he made sure that we were well educated about the things we need to prepare if we are very serious about making it in the industry. He discussed the importance of having a portfolio and being persistent and to not take our opportunities for granted.
After his initial introduction, we had a very short question and answer portion where he discussed his work and his goals. He revealed to us that has no plans of moving out of Winnipeg because he enjoys what he has here. Also, Earl talks about maybe being a teacher and being able to teach young minds and to help develop skills.
Lastly, we learned how to really utilize Adobe After Effects by using hotkeys, which is a very underrated thing. He showed us how these hotkeys can really make the difference time wise and allows the creator to make something very quickly. This has been the workshop with Earl Cabuhat, and I have thoroughly enjoyed it, and I am overjoyed about being able to meet him.
