BAYONET CRUISER
“BAYONET CRUISER” This 1/ 350 scale model is fabricated through the processes of scratch building and kitbashing. The model is primarily made from cardboard, mat board, various model parts and broken down toy parts. This piece was composed in Adobe Photoshop Cs5 to serve as production art for Magnesium Bow.
The model/production prop measures 16” wide, 24”long and 7” tall.

The effects that appear in the Bayonet Cruiser video were done with Photoshop CS5 version 12.0 X 32. This version allows you to bring videos into layers, where I then proceeded to paint in light on the engines.
The FTL jump effect was done in Photoshop CS5 using 13 images from a still video image captured in Sony Vegas Pro 13. The image was copied 13 times and the effects were added in Photoshop by enhancing the 13 images with lighting effects and recombined in Sony Vegas Pro 13 as a clip where timing and sound could be adjusted. The sound of an Abrams tank starting up and firing supply the FTL sound which enhanced the visual effect.
