Slow Hand Clap are a UK three-piece band from Manchester, following an alternative, grunge aesthetic. Their self-titled debut EP consists of three tracks; teething, out of mind and the snake.
In response to the open brief, we created an image of the three band members which originated from a photograph of the group on a rocky cliff surface. Using an inked up palm surface as the printing medium, we were able to create a broken hand-print texture that resembles the mountainous exterior of the rocks.
Hand painted custom lettering and a denser, offset background layer completed the composition, producing a three colour hand pulled screen print. To finalise the designs, the name of each single was printed on to the three separate squares using letterpress.
