Siemens Digital Services analyses data to optimise performance in a wide range of industries, including mobility.
But while it’s integral to all of our lives, it’s not a very stimulating topic.
So we created Art of Intelligence, a collaborative campaign that makes the invisible visible and encourages the public to engage with data.
Using specially developed software, award-winning media artist Refik Anadol is interpreting Siemens datasets into digital art pieces. The project launched on a 60sqm screen at an international rail trade fair with a digital sculpture based on data gathered from train sensors, giving the public a new, tangible experience of the data that moves them.
Siemens expanded the project to include further pieces based on datasets from other Siemens divisions. These will feature on a dedicated Art of Intelligence website and be exhibited at various fairs and events.
