Aruba Art Fair!

Let me tell you a story about One Happy Island!

The story begins we me as one lucky guy finding random a link that directed me to a facebook page called Aruba Art Fair!

I found out they had this street art fair that anyone could sign up. So I did.

Lucky for me I got accepted to paint there on this massive wall... but first things first.

Got accepted, and started Crowd Funding my plane ticket to get there. I had everything I needed there except my plane ticket. I took initiative and got my ass there ASAP.

At the airport my brotha Tito was waiting for me. I call him brotha because since I got there he was looking out for me like I was his little brotha.

Got checked in to the hotel, met Chemis and some other people that were part of the fair.

The next day I met the whole team from Aruba Art Fair, Maria, Tita, Diana, Michelle, Marcell, Joshua, Mustachi, Darlin, Natusha, everyone.

I was really excited and nervous at first, but all of it just went away, when I saw what a warm welcome I had from all of them.

Lets not forget the artists that were there and I was lucky to meet as well: Amsterdam Street Art, Street Art Chilango, Bond, Chemis, Farid Rueda, Francis Sling, Fiorela Silva, Guache, Isidora Lopez and a lot of great artists.

After meeting all those great people, I checked out my wall, my paint, and started thinking what will I do on that beautiful corner wall.

I had nothing planed, I had nothing prepared because I left home in such a short notice. But then it hit me. FREESTYLE! All the way! From sorting my spray cans, to getting as up as i can on the wall, to dancing, to shouting out loud: I'm in Aruba Baby!

Every day was a new adventure. From taking the bus near the hotel to San Nicolas with the local people, to jumping in the ocean late at night, and dancing with random people on the beach! YO Germaine! I'm talking about you and the gang! :D

We had tons of fun. Beautiful murals all over San Nicolas and not just that... but that's a story for another time... Maybe BRRR John will tell that one!

My thoughts about the whole trip? Well let's just say i was like super close of just bailing my flight back home. Yea that kind of feeling was there.

I got nothing but love for the people in Aruba. It is indeed One Happy Island! The happiest I've seen. So for that, i gotta give it to you! I love Aruba! And all the people I've met there.

I will leave some photos of the whole trip under this whole wall of text just so you can see what kind of a trip it was!
