To celebrate 100 years, The University of Memphis commissioned a bronze Tom the tiger sculpture by David Alan Clark. The sculpture resides in front of the main entrance to the University Center. TOM is placed on an inclined limestone base, inscribed with major donor names and the story of TOM, so it is metaphorically climbing, reaching and achieving.
