THE BRIEF: Metro FM celebrates their 28th birthday with the ‘28 years and counting’ campaign.
Taking cues from Metro FM’s bold brand attitude, we’ve developed logo’s that
echo this exact sentiment.

IDEA: 3 logos were cleverly designed, options considered, utilised negative spaces and
the idea of time.
Our first logo design encapsulates this boldness and can be translated into a
variety of executions. Through the use of interesting negative space and bold
typography, we create an instantly recognizable visual language with a very
contemporary feel.

The second and third logo designs translate the theme of ’28 years and counting’
in a more conceptual sense by utilizing a ‘flip clock’ mechanism that alludes to the
idea that there are many more birthdays to come - essentially limitless.
Not only do we feel that these logo designs portray the brand attitude in a fresh
and dynamic way but that also reinforce Metro FM’s relationship with their listeners
as they celebrate this milestone, take note of their heritage and look forward to
what the future holds.
