The brief was to create a book cover for Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach.
Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach has often been illustrated using stereotypical imagery of the peach in an obvious way. But by going further into the story there are so many other iconic ideas which could be used.
For this piece I decided I wanted to look at something different, and less obvious. The famous scene in the book, when the seagulls lift the peach from the sea, is the area I wanted to look at.
