Natural light was invited into the new roofspace in order to achieve greater spatial usage - without altering neither the outside general image nor the volumetrical form of the existing building.
Besides the renovation works, the interior spaces of the house were reorganized to create ample, well-lit rooms for its new inhabitants. The more intimate functions were planned in the upper floor under the roof: main bedrooms and their respective bathrooms and a south-east oriented balcony cut into the roof's slope.

The historical windows were replaced with new wooden windows with isolated glass and blinds that follow the same design and color.

The new garrage was planned underground, with direct street entrance, positively exploiting the topography of the site and providing the extra garden area on top.

A stone clad terrace was cut in the south-east facade facing the garden, with a large sliding-door opening from the living room. On the floor above, the master bedroom opens into a small roof balcony.
