Kazoo is a Greek music band that originates in Thessaloniki, Greece. Among their own compositions, Kazoo cover songs by artists like Locomondo, Manu Chao, Leonidas Balafas, Maraveyas Ilegal, Trypes, Pavlos Sidiropoulos and others.
The original form of Kazoo was created by Panayiotis Doris (singer, acoustic guitarist), Elias Theodorou (violinist) and Anthony Teneketzis (singer, acoustic guitarist).
Each of them individually has been playing music since 2000. In 2006 they decided to combine their musical experiences which resulted the creation of Kazoo....
By 2008 Kazoo had played unplugged at many venues and musical scenes especially in Thessaloniki and elsewhere.
From 2008 to 2010, Kazoo made their first attempt to play as a full band form by adding electric guitar, bass and drums.
In 2011 after a one-year break from live performances, Kazoo re-organized as a full band adding younger, promising members... With a more alternative sound, Panayiotis Pantidis (electric guitar), John Papasilekas (electric-acoustic bass, backing vocals) , Nakis Kesikidis (drums) and Nick Taras (keyboards) give their own mark in the band.
By this formation, Kazoo dynamically re-entered the music scene playing in clubs like Malt 'n' Jazz, Thea Rock Cafe, Bungalow White, Kedrinos Lofos, as well as in Kyttaro and Ghost House in Athens and in various music festivals.
They also have participated in concerts with artists like Lakis Papadopoulos, Kostas Bigalis, Pantelis Thalassinos, Stathis Drogosis, Spyros Grammenos, IMAM BAILDI.
Now, Kazoo are recording their first tracks in order to promote their own work on the Internet.
