Enter The Metro: Storyboards

Storyboards for the METRO:Last Light Short Film.
When ichi London were commissioned to create an Epic (with a capital E) start to THQ's campaign for the upcoming release METRO:LAST LIGHT, they took the bull by the horns. Immersing themselves in the Metro universe, ichi came up with a bleak short film treatment set in the moments just before nuclear armageddon wipes out all but the lucky few humans from the face of the planet.

Working for ichi, Samuel St.Leger was asked to come up with some key-frames, using the production-art already created for the game as a style-guide, which quickly became a more in-depth storyboard and director's treatment. Working quickly with child's poster paints and a highly textured mid-tone paper, Samuel then worked over the top of the paintings with black and white Stabilo CarbOthello pencils to bring out the highlights and shadows before a final polish in photoshop and then onto the next panel without pausing for breath....

...now, about six months after the boards were painted, the short film has been released and the fans are going wild in anticipation of  METRO:LAST LIGHT's 2013 release!
