In this Course Assessment, 'Australia's favourite coffee roaster' didn't (and still doesn't) have the best logo, at least according to our surveys and research. You can see the logo (as of 2016) here: http://merlo.com.au . 

So I decided to give it a fresh (or should I say freshest?) new look to the brand as a whole alongside with a user interface concept for a potential app. 
New Logo Concept (older version 2016 or prior in description text). Evolved their bland 'Fresh Espresso' tagline to 'Freshest Espresso' to emphasize quality and improvement. The main colour (blue) has ben lightened to ease the eyes.
Merlo Login/Sign Up Page. Simple to see that it's inspired by Snapchat
User Profile Page whereby three actions are provided : Order Now, Find Us, Our Menu. Pretty Straightforward. Points are earned based on the actions taken, and a profile image may be provided.
