The home page of the website emphasizes the approachable and serene qualities of Dr. Todd’s practice, and reinforces that he is both qualified and local. Because his office is located near Chautauqua Lake in upstate New York, the landscape, water, small town intimacy and surrounding landmarks are important. For this reason, elements of the natural surroundings are worked into the site in the footers and sidebars. This is a semi-custom site, built using the WordPress platform.
The home page conveys serenity and calm by using photos of happy clients and staff, making it easy to learn more about Dr. Todd’s credentials, providing easy access to client testimonials, and making it convenient to set an appointment. Target demographics include senior citizens (tooth repair) and young adults (wisdom tooth removal) and photos were chosen with this in mind. Toward the bottom of the page, a floating lotus flower and a lake vista of a well known landmark reinforce that his practice provides convenient, reputable and trustworthy care.
Secondary pages continue the look and feel of the home page, using a similar footer that includes a contact form, quick links to patient instructions and social media links for reviews. Secondary sidebars feature submenus and links to learn more about Dr. Todd. In the body of the page is a link to "Book Appointment" and a place for testimonials.
