OLD FAVORITE
Design ice cream packaging for a brand that was outside the field of dairy products. The brand was extending in the ice cream industry with ice cream sandwiches, and normal quart sizes.
To find the solution I remembered my favorite childhood marshmallow cookie treat the moon pie. I always added a scoop of vanilla ice cream to the Moon Pie. This gave me the idea to create a extension for the brand. Moon Pie’s were originally created as a small fulfilling treat for coal miners back in 1917. The selected ice cream flavors for this project were graham cracker wafer, strawberry cream delite and banana cracker wafer. I designed the logo to appeal to the current visual style of today’s modern culture. It’s still the same desert that most of us grew up with and a new treat for people to discover.
