Recently traveled for three weeks cross-county to Seattle, Washington from Stamford, Connecticut. She was born in Lufkin, TX but was raised in Houston, TX; which she lived there till the age of 26. She then moved to San Francisco, CA after being accepted into a 4 year graphic design masters program to which she met her now husband. Upon completing the program she moved to Stamford, Connecticut to live the dream of working in NYC. Having worked both in CT and NYC after 7 years, Gracy and her husband decided to move back to the west coast to be closer to family and looking forward to new job opportunities in Seattle.
Gracy was sought after by the National Football League (NFL) to collaborated with teammates to develop concepts and design brand collateral for Pro Bowl and Draft to completion. She successfully designed print as well as digital distinctive assets for the International Series Games in London, Super Bowl 50, LI and LIII. Other responsibilities included designing for other affiliated programs within the NFL such as the Commissioner’s Awards, Crucial Catch, Legends Community and many more.
She was also sought after by TracyLocke to support the creative team by developing and executing engaging concepts with design solutions that motivated people to buy the company brands such as Pepsi, Harman Kardon, Starbucks, XBOX, HP and more. On top of her everyday responsibilities, Gracy took initiative by volunteering to encourage employees to design pro bono music posters for a local booking and promotions company Manic Productions.
Gracy also spent a few months working for Martha Stewart Living which launched her working career in NYC. She developed customer facing marketing and helped drive sales with packaging designs for Home Depot, Macy’s and JCPenny.
She received her MFA in Graphic Design from Academy of Art University in San Francisco in 2010. Gracy worked for Apple Inc. at the local flagship in SF not only as a Genius Bar Specialist but she also helps organize special events, designs and art-directs printed material for the store. She volunteered her time with AIGA, but also using her design skills to help AIA, The American Institute of Architects.
Gracy also received her BFA in Advertising and Graphic Design from Sam Houston State University in 2002. Gracy has 15 years of experience in the field of graphic design and 23 years in the performing arts. Until beginning graduate studies at the Academy of Art University in 2006, Gracy worked as the only in-house designer for a book publishing company, a teacher consultant firm, and choreographed award-winning dance performances at a national level.
Now that she has completed her MFA degree Gracy intends to be a contributing member to a team that allows the use of her skills in a complementary way. Read Less
