Warthog Illustration Created with Adobe Draw and Adobe Capture

The Warthog Illustration is the eighth in an ongoing series of Zoo Portraits, a personal project created to explore the Adobe CC mobile workflow. This was drawn entirely with Adobe Draw on an iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil.
I started by placing a photo that I took at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. The photo was synced from my desktop to my iPad using Lightroom Mobile. I traced the photo with a black marker pen on a draw layer above the image layer.

For the warthog illustration I focused more on line than shape, attempting to replicate the texture of the warthog's skin with varied width lines.
I found color inspiration at Adobe Color using Safari on my iPad. I searched for the keyword 'Africa'. Tapping on a color theme brings up an option to save the theme to a Creative Cloud Library. Library assets is a feature available only to Creative Cloud members.
I saved several of the found Africa color themes to my Zoo Animals Creative Cloud Library.
CC Libraries are accesible inside of Draw when choosing a brush color. This screen grab shows a varitey of color themes I have saved in my Zoo Animals Library.
The background began with pencil and paper. After the pencil drawing was complete, I used both thick and thin black markers to fill in the lines.
The marker pattern was photographed with Adobe Capture using my iPhone converted to a vector shape and saved to my Zoo Animals Library.
I placed the pattern shape in the Warthog Draw project three times so that it filled the space at a scale factor I was happy with. The pattern was placed on a Draw layer beneath the Warthog Illustration. I added subtle color to some of the lines and shapes. Then I drew additional light hightlights on a layer below the pattern. A black solid shape was added below everything.
