Medolino is a type of children's food that's suitable for babies from 12 months of age.
The idea behind the packaging was to make the child's first experience of eating healthy food a good one.
This is why I decided to make the packaging interactive and turn it into a toy. To achieve this, I developed a character because my research had shown that children's packaging that do have a character on them draw much more attention than the ones that don't. The character on Medolino packaging is a bee with it's wings, tail and tentacles outlined with a dotted line which suggests cutting them and then making them stick out.
The project was featured on the Packaging of the world website.
