New Year, Starbucks Korea

2013: 2013 was, unfortunately, a year of the black snake. In order to feature black snake in a least frightening way, we decided to go with an origami style and applied it to all related graphics such as illustration and typography.

2014: It was a year of the blue horse. For the first time, Starbucks Korea launched Korea-exclusive merchandise, and it was a galloping success. 4 skus of merchandise (2 tumblers and 2 mugs) sales reached 200,000 USD, and the launch day card sales was up by 1522% from the previous year's global card.
New Year promotion became a staple of Starbucks Korea since then, and it helped boosting customer expectation and brand loyalty.

2016: For the year of the red monkey, we designed a playful collection of merchandise featuring three monkey brothers. The number of items were expanded to 15 skus.
