Storm system is a a kinetic installation of over 450 vibrating cell-phone motors. Each motor is suspended from a plexi-glass “cloud” and encased in a circular plastic bag. The motors are controlled by a “circuit board” of reed switches that are actuated by a rotating disk of magnets. The motors shudder and shake in a seemingly random pattern, at once the rumblings of a coming thunderstorm and the beating wings of a thousand luna moths.
