Thomas Allen Disselkamp has worked as an employee of the 3M Company in Minnesota for over 35 years. During that time, Thomas Disselkamp has earned numerous company awards for his efforts, including a corporate engineering honor. Outside of his activities at 3M, Tom Disselkamp supports a number of community organizations, including Animal Humane Society.
Throughout the year, Animal Humane Society (AHS) holds several fundraising events to support its work assisting companion animals in need. Recently, the organization held its largest annual fundraiser, Walk for Animals, on May 7, 2016, in Golden Valley, Minnesota.
Thousands of AHS supporters and their pets attended the event to raise money for animals while enjoying live music, food trucks, and vendors. Each year, AHS aims to raise a total of $1 million through Walk for Animals, and this year’s event did not disappoint. In fact, the 2016 Walk for Animals exceeded its $1 million goal by over $15,000.
