Ringling College of Art and Design
This assignment was to portray my alter ego in the form of a mask mainly consisting of cardboard materials. As I was brainstorming for a good concept, I realized I didn't know exactly what my alter ego was. Living in a variant world, I was always paying attention to the changes of time on other things, not myself. What more could I do except pick up some scrap pieces of cardboard and begin working? At least then, I would look like I knew what I was doing. From the risk of blindly constructing this piece, I was able to formulate a suitable concept behind my work, one that matched the structure almost perfectly, as if my subconscious had been working on it all along.
