Personal visual identity.

BRIEF.
Create a personal visual identity.

EXECUTION.
Went through iterations of brainstorming, research on personal self and on existing design practices, sketching and refining. Chose a minimal, black and white identity in order to showcase work and not detract from it. Designed a logo to be memorable and to aid social media presence. Instead of using lots of visuals, employed shape and language to express personality.

THOUGHTS.
I went through many concepts and sketches for a logo. This proved frustrating at times, but in the end it paid off. I am glad I did not settle for one of my earlier logos, which I thought was good at the time. Getting feedback from design peers, designers more experienced than I, and also non-designers, proved highly valuable in the development of my visual identity. I made the final decisions, but it was great to expand my perspective and learn to see my designs from my potential audience’s eyes.
