For 13 days thefoodnetwork.ca was having a contest where visitors could participate and win a kitchen item. The items ranged from small tools like cook books to appliances such as blenders and mixers! Each day, the rotator on the homepage would display the item that contestants were playing for that day.

The fun was in part not knowing what you would be playing for the next day! This kept users enticed to come back and enter into the next activity. This mystery was displayed using the doted cut-out line. Each day a new item would be revealed! How fun!
