Biodynamic Structure

Bio-DynamicStructure
Arduino and sound
This was done in collaboration with Ali Farzaneh of AA and Ian Janicke of Cornell for a workshop taught at CCA with the Architectural Association of London. We studied and were inspired by nature. The structure responds to sound and cancels out large low rfrequency waves that are 20-30 feet high. The system suppresses and focuses sound in an open space. The prototype is made with Arduino sensors and servo motors, laser cut paper, plexiglass and aluminum rod. The shapes were discovered through an emergent system. The fine edges were inspaired by the quite owl feather tips which silent when hunting
