In 2016, 10 years after the first communication project realized for NovaraJazz, I was commissioned to design the visual identity for the 2016 edition and to lay the foundations of the brand for the years to come, as I had previously done in 2006.
I faced the design, with the intention to review the system and refine it to be manageable in a consistent way over the years ahead, going to define the new language in systemic terms. I started redesigning, adapting to a more effective use of the NovaraJazz logo on social and digital media. Making it usable both horizontally and vertically.
To do this I had to delete the final 'z' (changing the original version). Then I designed the logo for the 2016 Edition, composed of patches of colors as if they were paint splashes.
Finally, I designed a system in which the logo could be declined for all the declinations of the brand and all the parallel activities of the festival: taste, dance, read, ride, run and street.
Trying to maintain a coherence that was lost over the years since the first edition.
In the end I redesigned all the posters (both the program layout, the billboards) and all the posters announcing the events. So I gave the opportunity to NovaraJazz to face his second ten years, with a solid, renewed and consistent language.
Ready for new challenges.
