Box for bow-ties, 2014.
The intent was to reflect the eco-friendly identity of the product in the packaging, giving it a kind of desirability through the graphics.
The boxe needed to have a piece to hold and display the product, a place for the matching curchief, a place for a business card/product description and it needed to be resistant enough for shipping.
The idea was to creat an equally environmentally-friendly packaging made of recycled acid-free paper, entirely glue-free and the the least material waste possible.
The box is entirely hand-folded and drawn. It's made of one A4 and one A5. Three A4 sheets give two boxes.
The graphics of the box were meant to convey elegance, tradition, value, reliance, simplicity.
The logo was to be displayed and repeated. A description of the product and of the composition of the packaging itself were to be included.
The pattern on the box remins of the pattern of the fabric of the bowtie. The box is entirely hand-drawn with ink.
