Earned value management template is prepared using Microsoft excel tool showing specific costs related to a project in a graphical diagram. A project manager can have a quick snapshot of the costs incurred in a project and the gap of the costs as planned costs are also showed up in the earned value template. Different colors are used to show actual and planned costs.
