The idea was to maintain a personal and intimate connection of the wedding proposal even though we were
living apart. Being artists, I also wanted to establish a creative collaboration between my fiancée and I. The box contained a note that prompted a tactile response from the recipient. By either colouring or breaking the figure, she would convey her message symbolically. She became equally involved in the process by painting the figure hence concluding what I started. The tangible answer became a permanent memory on the object.
