No I´m not a pessimist. But somehow I like the idea of Berlin beeing redicovered one day far from now. Modelling, texturing and lighting of this scene is created with Cinema 4D. Only the typical under water look is realized with Photoshop   

The submarine is inspired by one of these dinosaur fishes (the one that look real wild and somehow brainless in the illustrations of old dinosaur books) and a simple post wiking sort of steampunk style. It is the starting point of the scene, everything else was gathered around the sub. 

Hakings is the name of the diver. The basic style of the suit is close to reality, but a few details are pure fantasy. Can´t help, jut love going my own ways. 

The same scene, this time rendered with just one material. It´s a good way of sorting out what shapes you want to put on which locations in order to support the story.
