It was the summer of 2011, when my friend & photographer Eddie Michel asked if I would assist him on a photo shoot. Eddie had been asked to do a portrait series of funk legend Larry Graham, and it wasn’t without reason he was in town.

When the shoot was over, Larry asked if we would like to enjoy him perform later in the evening at Prince music festival in Copenhagen.

 

I hadn’t listen much to Prince music, but as a kid of the 80’s and raised up with MTV, I was of course familiar with who Prince was. So of course I said yes! and I had a great experience to see Prince play live for 2 days in a row! so much of energy and not to forget, so much funk!

 

So I present to you my tribute retouch of Prince, a photo which Eddie Michel took that very same evening in the summer of 2011.
