Let's Dream Take Flight
Charles & Keith & LASALLE College of the Arts Singapore collaborated to design a tote bag that was inspired by the kids in Club Rainbow Singapore.
Club Rainbow is a non-profit organization that supports and empowers children with chronic illnesses & their families by providing compassionate relevant services in their journey toward enriching lives.
The tote bag designs were inspired by Enya's painting of a camera - as she wishes to capture beautiful moments; the tote bags were designed to evoke a sense of achievement by the series of characters regardless of stereotypes and prejudices.
The Sloth Runner
The intention of this design is to break the limitation that every individual sets for their own-self. While it's not about winning or losing in life, but to break the-free from the thoughts of what others have perceived you. Be proud of whoever you are and do whatever you want to do.
The Chicken believes it won't be able to fly for its whole life. Everyone is born with their own strength and weaknesses - we may say its incapability. Just like Einstein said "Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid"
This chicken wants to fly, but it doesn't bear the capacity for it. But remember, there are 1000 roads leading to Rome, "Let's be a pilot".
The Fox has been judged as a sly creature, it's their nature - but that doesn't mean all of them to share the exact same characteristic. People receive various kinds of stereotypes. I use this fox to represent a bold individual who dares to swim against the stream; break free from the words of others and start to make the difference.
