I work with theatres throughout the UK and I specialise in creating gruesome scars, wounds and love to teach how to create horror effects for fun. I have created thousands of effects with different groups, theatres and businesses for 15 years as a makeup artist and workshop leader.

I'm interested in looking at how we are drawn into the illusions created by artists in action and horror movies to see them as violence and not as art. I'm passionate about deconstructing the effects by showing groups how they can create their own fantastic effects. By showing how effects are created I want to change the way audiences interact with films seeing the illusion for what it is and creating a greater understanding of the mechanics of film making. I've worked with hundreds of youth groups showing that behind the gore there are talented fine artists and technicians and behind every film fight scene are talented dancers and choreographers.
