Story Telling & Shadow Theatre
My training was in theatre acting acting at Yorkshire famous Arts College Bretton Hall (Mark Thomas/League Of gentlemen) where I developed my passion and expertise for story telling and experimental theatre.
Currently I'm producing works based on shadow play and am playfully rein-visioning what shadow puppetry and shadow theatre are with experimental work in optical illusion, video projection and stereography (3d). i'm creating shadow puppet shows that involve dancers as well as puppeteers on large and small stages; both indoors and outdoors.
My latest stories are fables and adventures suitable for all audiences that always have a little bite and humor to them so adults and children alike can delight to fools & tricksters, heroes and adventures through dark woods to meet giant fire breathing dragons. My work is accessible but I don't dumb it down so there's always good poetry to be heard.
I'm quite happy to work to commission and run workshops in story telling, puppet making and shadow puppetry.
