The very design style was based around 50's and 60's Sci-Fi B-Movies, namely around the pulp-style robots, with giant plates, large tubes of rubber and glass - think Robbie the Robot from 'Forbidden Planet', or Gort from 'The Day the Earth Stood Still'. This came into play with the mark, which is a robotic head, turned into a profile orientation. The design incorporates classic Sci-Fi tropes like earpieces, visors, and slick, rounded shapes. I have also brought in influences in the back of the head from ammonite shells, an element CSGuitars use in their guitar builds.

As an extension of the design style, I decided to pay homage to the characters that emblazoned the posters for old B-Movies, here taking direct influence from Robbie the Robot.
Taking photo references of CSGuitars founder Colin and illustrating over them, before finally digitizing and colouring on Photoshop, I created this new character which has since become the mascot for the brand.

Pleased with the result of the character creation, I then developed and evolved on the visual style by creating a Pulp-Style banner image, that would be used across CSGuitars' numerous media channels.

For YouTube, the brand's primary channel for communication, I also expanded the banner for use on televisions and tablets.

I was also tasked with creating content for use in the YouTube videos themselves. The most important of these was to redesign the thumbnails used throughout the channel, which I designed to be cleaner, and also incorporate a colour-categorisation system.

The bonus touch of a namecard was also included.

The Subscribe card that plays at the end of every video was also created to mimic the style.
