Illustration in the traditional sense, is what I love to do and with great detail. My background has been predominantly as a graphic designer and art director. Indesign and Photoshop have been the software programs I've used the most and now I am venturing into a deeper understanding of Illustrator. There is so much to know and the experimentation process is wonderful. I'm enjoying the play time.
An 11" x 17" poster for a church Winter Solstice event. The effects were created using created Symbols, Patterns, 3D Extrusion, Glows, Drop Shadows in layer upon layer.
This art is created from a full color photo of my daughter. I created a more stylized effect by using Live Paint/Trace along with a specific palette of colors blended into a solid background.
