This 3'x4' poster details all of the basic elements of typography in a detailed and organized fashion while engaging with the photograph that derives it. The theme of the piece began to develop after I was asked where my main source of typographic inspiration came from. My favorite book is J.D. Salinger's The Catcher in the Rye, and distinctly I remember how much the Caslon typeface the book was set in complemented the feeling I got when I read the book. Suddenly the poster began to be about Salinger. The novel began to drive the aesthetics of the photo. The quote was taken from The Catcher in the Rye.
