Nerf Neon Force-Ideation and Development

Title Page
Project Brief
Explaination of the entire idea behind Nerf Neon Force
Research 1:  Zombie Strike
Research was conducted for a number of reasons: First, for some design inspiration. Second, for analyzing which features already exist. Third, for figuring out which features they need. Fourth, to note how each product in each line is affected by their idea pitch. Lastly,, internet research was conducted to reach the desired market  (in brief)
Note: Just to make it clear, these pages of research consist of real life products, and I in no way take credit for their existence
Research 2:  Rebelle
Research 3: N-Strike Elite
Research 4: Vortex
Ideation 1
In this first page of ideation, I focus on weapon options, as well as facial protection. This is the first page where I explore making a decrative LED curcuit design as per the shape of each object. I also look into the posibility of using cans of smokescreen to both hide the users from each other, as well as capture the LED lighting from all the equipment
Ideation 2
On this page, I took more of a look at options for protection, as well as stocking the user with as many Nerf darts as possible. Because this is a more competitive Nerf sub-brand, it is imparative that the user has as many shots as possible before reloading.
On the top vests, I also took a look on how the LED curcuit lighting can change color as per where you are hit, as well as a middle (ironmanlike) counter, which displays the number of times you've been hit. The wristband displays how many hits your opponents have taken. Because of this setup, it allows endless psoibilities for creative rules.
Ideation 3
This last page focuses primarily on weaponry. It was a goal to make each blaster characteristically different then the next.
Development 1- The Big One Linework
Development 1- The Big One Render
This is one of my personal favorite designs. It does not use the traditional Nerf darts, but rather large bazooka darts. It's uniqueness, and it's relative large size sets this big one apart from the rest
Development 2- Sharpshooter Linework
Development 2- Sharpshooter Render
This blaster took inspiration from the pumping mechanism of some of the other guns mentioned in the research section. It is meant to shoot with either the priming pump, or the trigger with traditional Nerf darts. Because of it's speed, and it's laser scope accuracy, this is not one blaster to take lightly
Development 3- The Cyborg Linework
Development 3- The Cyborg Render
This is my absolute favorite. It beats all for uniqueness. I had in mind cyborg from teen titans...
The user slips in his or her arm into this blaster. There is an internal trigger that the user wraps their finger's around, but the other opponents cannot see, giving them the appearance of a cyborg! If that wasn't enough, to prime for the next shot, the user must simply bend their arm, and straighten it back out again. This gun also has the cabability of shooting two traditional Nerf darts at the same time, from both sides of the gun.
Development 4- Rapid Blaster Render
This blaster is the most like the entry blasters for a Nerf series. However, what sets this one apart is the whole idea behind Nerf Neon: Competitiveness. It features large ejection buttons, which will eject an empty barrel of darts out, so the user may simply pop in a fully loaded barrel. Efficiency!
In addition, there is an opening at the bottom of the handle, for a user to add a strap, or additional hardware to keep the rapid blaster within reach.
Control Drawing 1: Rapid Blaster
Here, I had to really pay attention to ergonomics. After researching a standard mean hand size, the blaster was modified to match that size.
Control Drawing 2: The Big One
The Big One was an interesting challenge. Not only do you have to pay attention to the handle size, but the distance between handles had to be within reason as well. Next, the overall dimensions were determined by looking at real-life bazookas, and miniaturizing it so it still sits on the shoulder, but reduces material waste.
