How do people commute to work? Where do visitors spend their time in a city? What effects does maintenance have on a cell phone network? For the data science unit of Singapore's largest telecommunications company, I've created UX concepts, design templates and prototypes for a series of geodata analytics dashboards and applications.

DataSpark is a geospatial data analytics and subsidiary of Singtel, Singapore’s largest telco provider. Its team of data scientists and developers builds custom-tailored applications for a wide range of clients from retail corporations to transit operators to urban panning authorities, which leverage the vast basis of anonymised geolocation data of Singtel’s mobile and digital TV customers.
With a growing number of clients from different fields and business domains, DataSpark faced the increasing challenge to deliver ready-to-use web applications that do not only adhere to a very high technological standard, but also provide a robust and modern user experience. With a focus on data analytics, database and backend development, DataSpark teamed up with us as UI/UX design partner. In close collaboration with their data science and development teams, we created the complete UX and visual design for their front-end, consulted them on visualisation topics and created an extensive styleguide and pattern library for the development team.
During the course of almost two years, I've created the UX and visual design as well as high-fidelity prototypes for half a dozen different products in the field of data visualisation. Most of these products were complex data-driven analytics tools that DataSpark built for customers on top of their extensive mobile phone user data base. Due to NDA restrictions for most of these projects, I’m unfortunately able to show only a very small fraction of the work I’ve been involved in.
