UX Research Internship at Ecovent, a Boston-based IoT startup making a connected-home product that allows room-by-room temperature control
- Designed and ran a usability testing program to test assumptions and hypotheses
- Responsibilities included recruiting participants for studies, planning the research, analyzing and presenting feedback to product and design teams
- Visited customers at their homes to observe product installation process, performed contextual inquiry and conducted interviews
- Designed surveys to collect qualitative and quantitative feedback on customer's experience of installing the product
- Designed surveys to collect qualitative and quantitative feedback on customer's experience of installing the product
- Took pictures and shot video of users performing tasks, so that product, design and customer experience teams could see for themselves what roadblocks users faced
- Organized user research so the company could track changes in the product and could prioritize new feature implementation
