myapt Concept
I designed the following high-fidelity mockups when I was inspired to design a website for people looking to buy, sell or rent real estate with a starting point being Toronto. The working title for this project was 'myapt'. The idea behind 'myapt' was to make it effortless to find your ideal home, whether you want to buy or rent. You'd have a map with listings, enabling you to search by neighbourhood, save favourite listings and schedule viewings all in one place.
The first mockup is a home page pitching the benefits of the platform, followed by post-registration screens meant to give you a sense of the look and feel of the actual platform.
I structured the search results page in a manner similar to Airbnb. I believe having a map with search results that update in real time as you scroll down the right sidebar with listings makes it easy to see all the neccessary data in one place.
Each listing is structured in a manner where the key information is availabe at a glance in the righ-hand sidebar, while the photos and more detailed description of a property is centered in the middle. Nearby properties are displayed below to encourage a user not to abandon the page, but keep looking for an ideal property.
Your calendar displays any viewings you've scheduled through the platform.
