myapt Concept Wireframes

I designed the following low-fidelity wireframes when I was inspired to design a website for people looking to buy, sell or rent real estate with a starting point being Toronto. The working title for this project was 'myapt'. The idea behind 'myapt' was to make it effortless to find your ideal home, whether you want to buy or rent. You'd have a map with listings, enabling you to search by neighbourhood, save favourite listings and schedule viewings all in one place.
I decided to start with the search results page. I saw this page as a focal point of one's interaction and experience with the website. For the first iteration I decided to go with a flip out design for listings to keep the user on a single page. I then rethought this approach in the next wireframe.
I settled on a design similar to Airbnb. I thought that having a big map should be an important part of one's interaction with the page. Being able to see where each listing is on a page ensures that you can quickly see which listings are in areas you prefer. Easy access to filters at the top allows users to quickly filter out undesirable options.
The onboarding page is designed in a way to optimize for conversions. Signing up with Facebook or Google saves time if you don't want to fill out the standard fields below. Otherwise, the signup form only gathers the most critical information. Any other relevant information can be gathered when neccessary once a user's been onboarded.
The calendar displays all your upcoming viewings in an easy to read format.
