Illustration Projects & Elements

I love using my illustration skills. I have been able to utilize them on a number of projects for clients or internal uses. I am not a traditional illustrator but can do work ranging from icon systems, spot illustrations, realistic in-situ, technical illustration, type treatments and identity.

Cassette Poster – The walls were bare during my tenure at the Archer Group, so I came up with a large scale illustration of a cassette tape and finished them in a couple of different ways. The larger one below was the chosen version and was printed on foamcore at 42" x 56".

Confidential Client – Below are moodboards that were developed for a multinational client that just went through a buyout and consolidation. They needed a cleanly designed slide theme to help explain how their process was going to be breaking down the slio'd business strategy, streamlined and better quility control.

The boards look cluttered but were just for sign-of purposes to show styles of the variety of informatiuon that would be handled throughout the presentation.

Web Transformation T-Shirt Art – After a quick brainstorm and walk around the office I gathered small objects that I felt best described the Web Transformation group in the San Francisco office and created a clean style in Illustrator for all of the various objects. I expanded that style for an internal site that being developed to let the various business groups get a better sense of our capabilities.

Sport Headphone Iconography – The icons below were developed for a carousel but never used as we went for a different aesthetic

Bugzilla Re-skin and Icon Design – Bugzilla was a bit of a mess at the time and we were looking to re-skin the interface
to better use the interface for tracking bugs for Sony's Web Transformation efforts. A lot of the staff were classic video game fans and the theme of "bugs" was a natural fit.

XDT Type Buildout – Once a direction for a logo was decided upon, we needed type to accompany the developed mark. Below is a custom set of characters I developed that complimented the logo.

XDT Logo Themes – For various large launches of product pages, we decided to have a little fun and brand the XDT's logo or mascot. Below is an example of the Walkman group theme as well as a generic one done for a promotional item.

SOMA Visitors Map – A map was needed for visitors to our office. The map showcased various areas of the city they could explore during their visit.

The Hill Mobile Application – A series of pixel perfect illustrations were developed to tab to various parts of The Hill news application.

Tam Abby Theology Group – This was a personal project for a group that met once a week to have a drink while discussing current events. The location that we always met at was outdoor with a view of Mt. Tam at dusk.

Nothing Undone – This is a personal project done in Illustrator exploring simulated stiching and loose thread.
