As part of a competition I was tasked with creating an outcome using predominately typography as the centre piece of the design to raise awareness for a cause I believed needed more attention. Therefore I have chosen to create a new app for those undergoing mental health issues and those who have worked past it. The app aims to bring users together is a social media aspect and allow people to share stories, images and posts to either support or motivate their connections through their own accounts. 

 

To advertise this new app I have also created six posters that use typography and patterns to draw attention to associated words that correspond with each letter in the word, 'MENTAL'. These are designed to be posted individually around places for my demographic to see and draw their attention by pulling them into finding out what each letter relates to and to find out more about the app itself. The patterns I have created also reflect the work itself and are then carried forward onto the app design to further support the connections between the poster and the app. Finally, the varying layouts are to also reflect the word I have chosen to associate the letter with.
